an 'a' for energy efficiency

With the price of energy bills rising steeply in the UK, Elliscombe House is hoping that its investment in energy efficient heating systems will pay dividends this winter – and we have already been recognised with an ‘A’ rating in our Energy Performance Certificate assessment.

The home was rated as ‘D’ in an EPC report in 2016, prior to the home being purchased by its current owners Glenn and Catherine Trotman. They installed state-of-the-art, ceiling mounted, infrared heating panels and solar assisted heat pumps as part of their redevelopment of the home, and when the same assessor returned he gave the much-improved rating. His assessment of Elliscombe House is even more significant given that he has never given an ‘A’ rating to a care home before and has only given 1 ‘A’ to any property he has visited in the past 15 years!

When planning the redevelopment of Elliscombe House, energy efficiency was high on our list of priorities so we are delighted that our investment in cutting edge technology has been recognised with an 'A' rating.
