Bonfire Night Magic And Merriment!
We were delighted to welcome so many resident and staff families to Elliscombe House on Saturday 4th November to enjoy a Firework Spectacular!
As residents congregated in the Orangery to await the display, the children gathered around the fire braziers to roast marshmallows and make tasty S'mores. Residents had made Parkin (a traditional ginger cake from Yorkshire flavoured with syrupy molasses, oatmeal, and spices) during their morning activity and this went down a treat - especially accompanied by mulled wine and hot fruit punch.
Everyone enjoyed holding a sparkler and there was much appreciation for a very exciting display of fireworks thanks to Lou (Home Administrator) and Jonathan (Head Gardener).
Residents made a Guy, called 'Ellie,' who had a rather special hat! (Can you guess what it is?!)
We are always so grateful to the whole team for their input, support, and general brilliance as we make these events so special for all involved.
