Member of ‘Moo-vie’ star herd pays a visit

Updated: Sep 18

We recently welcomed a special visitor to Elliscombe House, in the form of a Jersey Cow belonging to a resident.

The cow, named Sherbet, is one of a herd owned by a local farmer who was staying with us.  The lady’s herd previously enjoyed stardom as the ‘dancing cows’ on an advertisement for Anchor Butter in 1988, and whilst she was at Elliscombe House her granddaughter brought Sherbet in to visit.

The staff and residents are used to exotic visitors, as we often enjoy sessions with animals from  Zoo Lab, but Sherbet was a much larger prospect!
