Supporting local businesses

We love to get out and about in our local communities - especially at Christmas time - and couple of our residents had a wonderful day supporting local businesses at Sherborne's Festive Shopping Day.

Every year, volunteers from Sherborne's Chamber of Trade and Commerce organise a Festive Shopping Day, and people come from far and wide to enjoy the splendours of local artisans, creatives, makers and traders. The town lights up for Christmas and at the end of the day there is a parade and the lighting of the Tree - always an exciting moment!

The Christmas Tree Festival in Cheap Street Church was a big hit - some very happy, smiley faces!
